My own experience
One day in July 2007, at about 5 o’clock in the afternoon, my Mom and I were on our way back to Bukidnon from Cagayan de Oro City. It was raining hard and we were traversing a mountainous road when suddenly the bus ahead of us suddenly stopped.
We looked outside our bus and saw huge chunks of soils and rocks sliding and blocking the road. We realized then that we were trapped.
Some passengers began to panic. But my Mom and I got hold of ourselves and decided to wait for people to clear up the landslide. After an hour, we decided to call up my Papa to ask him to fetch us.
I looked around and saw crops and the road were destroyed. Many cars and trucks were likewise trapped. My Mom and I decided to walk, although I was barefooted because I thought I should remove my shoes since there were dirt and mud everywhere.
Before 9 p.m., my father fetched us at Kisolon, Bukidnon. After one hour, we were safely home.
